.a Vudèle is situated near the beautiful Lac Sainte Croix, outside the Provencal village of Quinson and surrounded by the famous lavender fields of Provence.

Quinson is a very pleasant village on the banks of the river Verdon, surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is close to many picturesque spots to visit, such as the Verdon gorge, accessible on foot via a newly renovated walking trail, the Valensole plateau and its lavender fields, and of course the three lakes of Quinson, Sainte Croix and Esparron, with Sainte Croix being the biggest of the three and also France's second largest lake. The old village of Quinson which was once perched on a cliff and dates back to Roman times, is witness to the long past of Quinson. The present village is inside fortified walls, and two towers are still visible.

La Vudèle is located north of Quinson, on the route de Valensole, direction Albiosc.

The nearest airport is Marseille Marignane, with a travel time of 1 hour 15 minutes to Quinson; Nice airport is at 2h15 travel time. To inquire or reserve this chambre d'hotes please email us or call us at +33 (0)4.92.76.44.48. We speak French, English, German, Italian and Dutch.

La Vudèle is ideally located between two major hiking routes, the GR (Grandes Randonnées), which criss-cross the whole of France. The GR4 which departs from Royan (Charente-Maritime) on the Atlantic coast, passes through the Cevennnes which Robert Louis Stevenson beautifully described, and continues past Greoux-Les-Bains and Riez north of La Vudèle to and through the Gorges du Verdon to Grasse, on the Mediterranean.

The GR99 which traverses the Var and runs south of La Vudèle through Quinson and Aiguines meets up with the GR4 near the Gorge du Verdon. For walkers this area offers many walking trails which are well marked. Through lavender and wheat fields, forest and vineyards, from lake to lake or village to village: this area has something fto offer or everyone, ability and ambition. This makes La Vudèle an ideal stop for walkers and hikers alike.

For lovers of mountain biking - VTT in French - the newly established 260 km long trail TransVerdon runs behind La Vudèle, on the way to Quinson.
